We are seeking an experienced Business Communications Manager to play a pivotal role in connecting and shaping the organisation’s broader business narrative across commercial, partnerships, and ownership priorities.

This is a strategically focused position operating at the intersection of Commercial, Partnerships, and Communications. The role will act as a senior communications lead responsible for aligning and elevating storytelling across partner activity, stakeholder engagement, and wider business initiatives — including ownership integration and long-term strategic planning.

You will ensure that all communications — internal and external — are commercially aligned, brand consistent, regulatorily compliant, and delivered with impact to global audiences. Beyond partnerships, you will play a key role in defining and articulating the organisation’s evolving narrative, ensuring cohesion across leadership messaging, key stakeholders, and major strategic moments.

As a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will help shape communication strategies that enhance enterprise value, strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support overarching business objectives. You will also play a visible leadership role at events, representing communications on the ground and ensuring seamless coordination across content, approvals, PR, and partner activations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction of Business Communications across the commercial function, ensuring alignment with broader organisational, ownership, and brand objectives
  • Act as a senior advisor to leadership, shaping narratives across partnerships, commercial strategy, and ownership integration
  • Define and deliver integrated communication strategies that connect partner activity with the wider business story.
  • Oversee the development of cohesive messaging frameworks that align stakeholders across Commercial, PR, Marketing, Digital, and Editorial teams
  • Lead the approvals framework for all commercial and partner communications, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality across outputs
  • Partner closely with PR and Media teams to align external positioning, including announcements, press activity, and executive communications
  • Provide senior communications leadership at events and key moments, ensuring alignment across stakeholder messaging, content capture, and activation delivery
  • Support the planning and execution of high-impact campaigns that drive visibility, engagement, and measurable business value
  • Monitor and evaluate communications performance, using insights to refine strategy and optimise impact
  • Act as a central connector across functions, ensuring all communications reflect a unified and strategically aligned business narrative
  • Maintain a strong understanding of technical, operational, and regulatory considerations to ensure accuracy and relevance across all communications

Requirements

Driven by high performance
What do you need to bring to the team?

  • Significant experience in senior communications, PR, or business communications role within elite sport, global sport, or a high-profile commercial environment
  • Demonstrable experience operating within a complex, cross-functional commercial organisation, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and influencing across teams
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to align communications strategies to revenue-generating activities and partnership objectives
  • Deep understanding of Formula 1®, motorsport, or similarly fast-paced, high-performance environments, including operational and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record in stakeholder communications, PR, and integrated storytelling across multiple channels and audiences
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical or commercial concepts into compelling narratives
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in high-pressure environments, often to tight deadlines.
  • Confident in a consultative leadership role, influencing without direct authority while building trusted relationships at all levels
  • Comfortable working across global events and at-track environments, with a flexible, hands-on approach.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
  • Willingness to travel and work non-standard hours in line with the Formula 1® calendar
